With it being Good Friday and all, I thought I would post a final update on my Bible Journaling Experiment. I must confess that I have not consistently added a journal entry to my Bible every single day of Lent, but the days that I did, I was definitely blessed by the time I spent doing it. I know a bunch of you have been journaling right along with me, so I wanted to kind of close out the Lenten season of journaling with a final post. Here is a peek at some of my most recent entries…if you missed the other posts about how I began “destroying my Bible”, you can find them HERE or HERE.

For this entry, I played with a new method. I used my Prismacolor pencils and then used a product called Gamsol (mineral spirits) to smear the colored pencil with a smudge stick. The result looks like water colors without the bleeding and crinkling paper. And once it dries, it’s smudge-proof. Awesome stuff.

And these words, my friends, are TRUTH. I hope this verse encourages you as much as it does me. Happy Easter to you all! If you have been journaling in your Bible and you feel compelled to share some pictures of what you’ve done, please feel free to post them on the Homespun Sprout Facebook Page. You never know who may need the encouragement you provide… and as always, thank you for being here :)
